Fruit Shop from NetEnt is a gloriously simple fruity for example. Even the excellent Ninja Fruits slot from Play’n GO brought more excitement, even if not quite the simplicity.
But despite it’s best efforts and being one of the few jackpot slots available, Fruit Bonanza doesn’t hit the sweet juicy spot. Yes it comes with four progressive jackpots that go into the tens of thousands. But with having to play maximum lines, the minimum bet for the jackpot is 4.50. Not a deadly amount for some, grant you, but many players will walk away and play a far more conservative, and profitable jackpot game, like Mega Moolah or Mega Fortune. The progressive jackpot on both of these go into the millions and the base game wins are bigger than Fruit Bonanza mobile slots progressive jackpots.
Basically, what it amounts to is that the bet is high for such low odds and decent base game wins are far and few between. Bad combinations. Might as well play Playtech’s Gold Rally for more entertainment and a bigger progressive jackpot slot. The bet is a little higher, but at least you get some good value out of that slot.
Take away the progressive jackpots and Fruit Bonanza slot is at best, a simple fruit machine with scatters and fairly low volatility. It certainly works well as a mobile slot (in portrait in particular), but we couldn’t find it in our hearts to really be thrilled by such boring wins.

You know what? We almost gave this mobile slot game 2 stars, just because it had a progressive jackpot. And then we sat down and thought about all the great progressive jackpots mobile slots that we can now play and we decided that no. No. We would not push this game onto you.
Is it salvageable? Only if you like classic fruit machines turned into video slot machines that barely pay out. There is a chump born everyday.
