Their venture into the online video slot world was fairly late in the game when they bought a company called Wagerworks in 2005 to create and distribute their land-based slots for their online casino partners.

Take the slot games Cleopatra or Elvis. Two incredibly iconic land-based machines that, by all rights, should be so beautiful and fun we wouldn’t want to play any other game. But the graphics and sounds (or lack thereof) make you want to blink away tears of disappointment. Sure, they are old slots, but why squash them into oblivion?

So that’s your only complaint? The aesthetics?

Hey, don’t call us shallow! If all you have is a tiny screen in the palm of your hand, then every little bit of graphics count. It’s half the excitement. To be fair, not all their slots for mobile get the ‘squashed’ treatment. Some, like Treasures of Troy and Crown of Egypt look beautiful.

But these two, you may notice, are fairly new IGT slots, with their multiway 1024 ways to win mechanics. These are like the Rolls Royce of the video slots world.

On the other hand, Da Vinci Diamonds and Wolf Run are the equivalent of Volkswagen Beetles or 1960s Minis. Classic, iconic and deserves some respect, which seems to have been forgotten when transferring for use on a mobile phone casino or tablet casino.

But under the hood, an IGT video slot is still technically brilliant

Notice how, despite our crying for the graphics, rarely has one of their games less than three stars? Or that the graphically beautiful ones are usually five stars? That should tell you something about the great fun of playing IGT mobile slots, even with some of their faults.

Ultimately, skin their games any which way you like. It is still one of their slot machines. This means that the gameplay will be mostly fantastic and more than a little entertaining. Pixies of the Forest, for example, is just wonderful, with tumbling reels that match Gonzo’s Quest, but a higher potential payout for players.
