How to play AbraCARDabra mobile slot
The Abracardabra slot is a poker style game with fruit symbols, playing cards, and two bonus features.
You’d be forgiven, upon opening up this Abracardabra mobile slot game to wonder if you’ve actually opened up a slot or a video poker machine.
You’d be right on both accounts as it’s a little bit of a hybrid of both – but we still felt it deserved a review because of its very unique style and look.
Takes the both of both worlds and mixes it

It shouldn’t work, but it does. You press the deal button (equivalent to one spin) and you get 5 cards with either fruit symbols or bar or 7s.
You can then hold as many cards as you want on screen and you get a second deal/spin on the card you didn’t hold, hopefully, to get more winning symbols.
You get wins not by getting poker hands, but by getting 3, 4 or 5 of a kind symbols anywhere on the 5 cards.
Be careful when using the auto-hold in this Abracardabra slot
The RTP of this slot machine seriously reduces when you use the auto-hold button – 95.95% to 90.21%.
We couldn’t figure out why (at first) as, usually, the auto-hold pretty much did what we would do: hold two or more fruits of the same colour.
However, it doesn’t hold any if all the cards are totally different, making you reshuffle all the cards; when in our opinion a good strategy is usually to keep one high paying card at least.
Also, the cherries aren’t worth keeping most of the time as they barely pay back your bet anyway. So we tend to ignore those for bigger, more profitable symbols
So just be careful; this Abracardabra online game makes you think more than your traditional slot machine.
Don’t chase the bonus features, just enjoy them
There are two bonuses; one is a magic hat that will randomly shuffle the cards and get you a win.
The other is the bonus game; where you play through 52 cards and get instant cash wins when you get 3 bonus cards on the draw.
It’s brilliant, but oh so hard to catch. If you find two bonus cards on your first draw then sure, try for a third, but otherwise, don’t chase a single bonus card.
But what you really want to land is those 7s, all in a row, giving you that 10,000 times your bet top win, as much as in Viking Runecraft slot or Imperial Opera by Play’n GO.
Not a bad amount, but not easy to get either. This is for those who don’t mind working a little hard for the wins.

In-game bonus features
The Abracardabra Bonus: When 3 or more Bonus cards are displayed, the card table is then cleared and 17 cards are dealt.
- 3 bonus cards: starts the bonus with 1x multiplier
- 4 bonus cards: start the bonus with 2x multiplier
- 5 bonus cards: start the bonus with 10x multiplier
Wins are paid based on those 17 cards, and then you get a reshuffle until you go through all 52 cards.
If you get a further 3 bonus cards in the 52 card shuffle, you'll get a 1x multiplier added. (so if you started with 1x, you'll then have 2x, if you started with 10x you'll have a 11x).
Magic Hat: At random, a magician's hat is shown, and new cards appear from the hat. You then get guaranteed win.
AbraCARDabra Review Conclusion
We couldn't give it more than 3 stars because we're not sure if this will find long-term players.
But, we suppose, there's got to be a place for slots players who want to think a little bit about their games, and video poker players who would like a simpler version of the usual high card machine.... maybe?
The wins here aren't incredible unless you hit those jackpot 7s or the bonus game, but the rest do surprise you from time to time.
That said if you are after more classic slots but with a modern edge, then something like Aztec Gems by Pragmatic or Sea Hunter by Play'n GO may be more to your taste.
