Because we will hapilly admit that we weren’t huge fans of the original which tried to stradle the world of slot machines and social gaming, but (in our opinion) failed.
However, what they didn’t manage to do with the first, they’ve more than improved in this Castle Builder 2 slot game.
A never-ending quest to build castles
And that’s a good thing. Whilst we struggled to want to finish the first game, which we did fairly quickly, with this Castle Builders II game, ending the game is only the beginning.
That’s because you get 3 characters, and once you’ve completed building every castle on the map, you gain a cup which upgrades your avatar.
This gives them special skills, and more importantly, improved the pay out rate of this slot machine.
The RTP starts at a decent 95.5%, but if you get all the way to the diamond cup, it increases to an amazing 97.75%. Higher than any other slot machine on mobile that we can think of.
It takes a while, but building castles is surprisingly compulsive.
This Castle Builder II slot is starting to sound less like a video slot…
Ok granted, with talks of cups, achievements, maps and castles, it can be difficult to see that actually this is an incredibly simple casino slot.
With 15 paylines and 5 reels, you basically spin to win, as you do any other gambling game.
The difference is that as you win, you collect building materials, and build castles, and play on different backgrounds (kingdoms).
Once a castle is built you play a fun little click me game where we’ve won anything from 10x to 300x our bet. These Princes and Princesses have cash to splash, is what we are saying.

There are far too many cup, achievements, and features to try and write it all in this Castle Builder II slot review.

The Lobby and Your 3 Avatars: The first page asks you to choose between 3 avatars.
- Sam: Master builder. No bonus games, but you build castles faster.
- Mandy: The Charm card. Not as quick at building castles, but you get free spins bonuses (to start with, 10 free spins on 3 scatters, but no multipliers).
- Igor (you need to unlock): Master builder and a wild card. He's a quick builder and you get expanded wilds.
How do you unlock Igor? By building all the castles (or completing the game) with either Sam or Mandy.
Doesn't take as long as you might think.
What happens when you complete the game: By completing the game, we should say 'build all the castles on the map using one of the characters'.
But that doesn't mean it's the end of the Castle Builder II mobile game.
Oh no. What that means is that you've completed the bronze cup, and you can now go and compete in the Silver, Gold, and Diamond cup.
Not only does the skill of your avatar increase (ie. you get more free spins when playing with Mandy, for example), but the games pays out more often.

Far more interesting than just changing the background like in the Gourmet Ranch Riches slot.
The downside is that you complete each challenge slower.
With bronze you only need 6 wins to create a building block for a castle, whilst with diamond you need 15 wins to create a building block.
How to build castles: Once you've picked your avatar, it's time to start spinning.
You'll travel through kingdoms, and in each kingdom there is about 3/4 castle to build.
Click on one, and you get a 15 payline reel slot, where you spin to win, like any other fruity.
Except when you win using the building material symbols, you'll start making a 'building block'.
Once a building block is complete, you complete some of the castle.
Sometimes it takes 6 building blocks, sometimes 12, sometimes anything in between, to complete a castle.
The bigger the wins, the bigger the suitors who will come in the Click Me Bonus game.
The Marry Me Bonus click me game: Once you've built a castle, and before you continue spinning in the next castle round, you get a quick click me game.
More than anywhere else, this is where we've gotten some blazing wins, including a little over 300 times our bet.
The better the wins you got building the castle in the first place, however, the more money you'll find.
Castle Builder 2 Review Conclusion
Rabcat improved everything that was wrong with the original Castle Builder game, and have made a great machine that draws you in and keeps you engrossed in getting the perfect fairytale ending.
You have to be a fan of collecting achievements, and slowly unlocking more features and bigger wins, but there's not doubt that this Castle Builder 2 mobile slot is an instant hit.
If we had to put one downside is that high limit slot players won't be impressed with 'only' being able to gamble £€$30 a spin.
