A fairly safe middle of the road from Microgaming, this Emperor of the Sea slot has some winning qualities, especially with it’s growing wilds.
Now we don’t know if we’ve been writing mobile slot game reviews for far too long, but we’ve seen so many Asian themed slots, that all the themes are starting to merge into one.
Don’t get us wrong, this is very well done; with an almost Chinese Paper Theatre look to it that makes it almost stand out.
Almost.
But really, with dragons, golden hats, Koi fishes, and classical Chinese wooden barges on the reels, it’s basically one we’ve seen many times before; whether thats in the likes of the 50 Dragons slot, or the Huangdi slot game by Microgaming.
The Emperor of the Sea slot logo is wild and comes stacked across all reels.
That’s pretty much the big draw here.
Oh, Microgaming will tell you that you can pick from 38, 68, or 88 paylines, all lucky fortune symbols in Asian culture, but lets be honest. You can pick your paylines in most other slots online out there.
That said, if you can, it’s worth spending a little extra and playing with 88 paylines in our opinion; the value of the symbols don’t decrease because you have more paylines, and the more paylines, the more likely you are to get a win.
But that can be said of many Microgaming video slots, to be fair. It’s what they do best.
However, the fact that your stack of wilds grow with each free spin certainly spices things up, especially as they team up this feature with cascading wins.
Meaning a good stack of wilds, once they disappear from having caused a win, can be replaced by another stack.
It’s lead to some decent wins, but at the end of the day, this is not a casino slot game you play for a long time. This is here for either some quick high bets, or as a game you pass by on your way to your old time favourites, like the Immortal Romance mobile slot.

Stacked Wild: The Emperor of the Sea slot logo is the wild symbol and replaces all other symbols on the reels except for the scatter.
Scatter and Free Spins: Get 3 golden hat scatter symbols and you'll trigger 8 free spins. These start with stacks of 8 symbols high wild symbols, and increase by one on each free spins.
Add that they have what Microgaming call 'rolling reels', or what we call cascading wins, and it can lead to some pretty fun spins.
Cascading wins simply means that on a win, the symbols disappear and more are replaced from above, 'cascading down'.
There are some good wins to be had in this Emperor of The Sea slot online and on mobile. In fact you can win as much as 1,875 times your bet.
A fun, if slightly generic, game with multiple paylines and a whole stack of wilds to keep you spinning for a few big bets, though not likely to hold your attention for long.
Still, it merges the stack of wilds and cascading wins better than the likes of Cool Wolf slot by the same provider.
