Bally have taken their popular land based casino game and turned it into the Fu Dao Le slot, which everyone can now enjoy.
An Asian style theme, this Fu Dao Le slot features five fixed jackpots, free spins, mystery stacked symbols and a stacked wild.
No wonder it’s popular at gambling venues, but can it compete in an online casino world?
That’s what we are here to find out in our review of this 5×3 reel, 243 ways to wins slot machine.
One of the base game features that will show up extremely often, and we mean every other spin or so, is that of the Mystery Symbols feature.
Here, a whole reel, or part of a reel, will contain the special golden mystery symbol.
When the reels stop, all of the mystery symbols in this Fu Dao Le slot will then open up to reveal any one of the other current symbols on screen.
A feature that keeps the action flowing, especially when mixed with the with those 243 ways to win, which eliminates paylines.
It’s certainly a feature that is far better used here than in other games like Microgaming’s Fortune Girl, for example.
We have to admit the free spins were one of the hardest bonus features to find in this Fu Dao le Bally slot.
The clumped wilds would show up often enough, and nudge up or down to fill the whole reel if only a part of it showed. The Red Envelope jackpot showed up every 100 spins or so as well, and paid out nicely enough for finding an envelope on reel 1 and reel 5.
But those free spins took their sweet a** time. And even when they did show up, didn’t reward us.
Which is disappointing when you think that you can get extra free spins, and extra wilds with 2x and 3x multipliers.
We’ve gotten bigger wins, at that only upwards of 30x our bet, in the base game. Perhaps lady luck wasn’t shining down or us?
One thing we do know though is that the free spins bonus game did show up more often than the pick me jackpot game, where you can win one of four fixed jackpots from 18 up to 8888 in cash.
Which is to say, almost impossible to catch. Personally, this slot with jackpots is ok, but not tempting enough to keep coming back to.
We’d rather play on the 88 Fortunes game by the same provider instead.

Wilds: The golden diamond with Chinese symbol in the middle is wild and substitutes for all except the envelope symbols and 'wonus' bonus symbol.
Clumped Wild: A stack of wilds can appear on reel 3. If only partially appearing, then it will nudge up or down to expand over the entire reel.
Free Bonus Spins: The green Wonus symbol shows up on reels 2, 3, and 4, and only in the base game.
When you find three you'll trigger 8 free spins. Here you get extra wild symbols with 2x and 3x multipliers. Find more Wonus symbols on the reels and you'll get an extra free spin.
Jackpot Pick Feature: Find a full stack of wilds on reel 3, and you might trigger the jackpot bonus feature.
Here you get to pick from 15 coins to reveal the jackpot symbols beneath. Find 3 of the same symbol and you will win the corresponding jackpot prize.
Red Envelope Jackpot: Find a red envelope on reel 1 and reel 5 during the base game and you'll win the Red Envelope Jackpot highlighted at the top left of the screen.
Mystery Stacked Symbols: These show up every other spin or so, and when they do, will slide open to reveal one of the current on screen symbols.
This increases your chance of finding a winning combination.
Bally Technologies like to create Asian style slots based around luck and fortune. We've seen it in their Lucky Tree slot and now in this Fu Dao Le slot on mobile.
With a betting range tailored around the lucky number 8, ranging from 0.38 up to 88 per spin, and a fixed jackpots also ranging from 18 up to 8888, there's no doubt who this casino game is aimed at.
Beginners might find the 0.38 starting bet a little high, and the fact that the bonus features don't show up that often, meaning you will have to look after your budget wisely - even though it has a 96% RTP.
Or you can play Fu Dao Le at one of these mobile casinos:
