What is this mobile slot about?

This Ghost Glyph slot sits on a huge 7×7 grid full of symbols all dying to explode and return to the grave, leaving behind up to 2,200x your bet worth of treasure.

We’ll admit that we weren’t expecting to like this Ghost Glyph mobile slot as much as we did. Why? Because when we opened it up, we saw a small 7×7 grid slot – in portrait mode the landscape around the game takes more pride of place than the reels themselves.

That’s not to say it’s not a nice game to play, but considering the mechanics of this game, it would have been perfect to get a close up of the reels and symbols and really feel every win on your Android mobile phone or iPhone.

Quickspin managed to capture that feeling with the Golden Glyph slot after all, so why not here? Still, that’s about our only complaint, because once we started spinning and bobbing away to the funky tunes, we’d almost sold our soul to this Undead casino game.

Match 5 symbols and watch them disappear

If you read all the features in this Ghost Glyph online slot, you may feel a little overwhelmed by everything happening on the screen, but don’t be.

This is actually a fairly simple game. You get a win when 5 or more symbols are touching horizontally or vertically (Cluster pays), those symbols then disappear and more come tumbling down – except now you have an extra wild symbol also added to the reels.

This continues until no more wins are found on the reels. However, where things get interesting is if you start getting wins using those wilds left behind.

Because each wild will trigger one of the ghost urns above the reels to give you a special feature, and keep that sweet, sweet momentum going.

Ghost Glyph slot gives you lots of actions and lots of free spins

Even in the base game, those avalanching reels can feel like they last forever – it’s why we love them from the Golden Ticket 2 slot to the Rainbow Riches Cluster Magic slot game.

But what makes this special is those special Ghost Glyph features which add wilds, remove symbols or turn symbols to something more interesting – even better get 5 wins with that wild and you trigger 8 free spins.

This is surprisingly easy to do, and we hit the bonus games every 50 spins or less. Granted winning that top win of 2,200x your bet is not easy. If you walk away with 50x your bet it’s a good free spin round.

But with those mega wilds appearing on screen, you can’t help but be charmed by these friendly ghosts who just want to party and give you a good time.

In-game bonus features

Tumble Mechanics and Cluster Pays: Ghost Glyph is a cluster pays slot, so any 5 or more symbols touching horizontally or vertically will create a win. These winning symbols will disappear and more will tumble down from above taking their place. This continues until no more wins are found on the grid.

The Ghost Glyph Wild: After every win a ghost symbol will be left behind in the empty spaces, so it helps to create a win after that. This is the only way to catch a wild.

Urn Feature: Above the reels, 5 different Ghost urns are change and shift per spin. Each time a Ghost Glyph slot wild is removed from the reels, one of the ghost urns is activated. These change, but the last urn is always the blue free spin Urn. You can activate:

  • Yellow Ghost: Spawns 4-10 random wilds are added to the reels.
  • Green Ghost: Randomly turns one low paying symbol to another low paying symbol already on the board.
  • Red Ghost: Randomly removes all of one type of low paying symbols.
  • Blue Ghost: Triggers 8 free spins in the base game and +3 free spins in the bonus games.

Free Spins and Mega Wilds: You can only trigger 8 free spins if you've made a chain reaction of wins with 5 Ghost Glyph wilds in one spin.

Then you'll get to play the bonus, much like in the base game, except every win is collected in the Paranormality Meter.

  • Level 1 (6 wins): the game will place two massive 2x2 mega wilds on the reels, creating a win.
  • Level 2 (12 wins): You'll get one 3x3 colossal wild symbol.
  • Level 3 (22 wins): Increase the amount of moved the 3x3 wild does before it disappears plus you get an x2 multiplier.

Closing thoughts

It's a shame they couldn't have made this Ghost Glyph slot a little friendlier to mobile by adding the portrait feature, as this game begs to be seen up close.

With pretty graphics, lots of symbols, and lots of action, we have a wickedly ghostly time playing on this Quickspin slot machine. We were almost tempted to give it 5 stars if only the graphics didn't feel so small.

Still, you can't deny this is a well-balanced machine that hits often, gives you value for money thanks to lots of wilds, avalanches, and free spins, but with hope to hit it big.

It's nice to play on a game that won't be taking all your money and running with it (like The Grand Galore slot for example) and instead allows you room to breathe as you explore every corner of this funky haunted party castle.
