This Great Wars slot promises a lot in its name, but this fantastical game doesn’t quite live up to its name.
When you name a game, you have to be aware that players will expect things from this type of machine.
The Great Wars slot deliver that in its game theme. You have your 5×3 reels set against the backdrop of two armies, clashing to get the fire crown and rule all the kingdoms; the human armies on one side, and the dark queens animal frenzy on the other.
It’s beautifully done, and with only 8 symbols on show, plus 2 wild symbols and 1 scatter, all coming stacked and paying out, it made us excited to see glorious wins and thrilling battle spins.
This is more of a Great Battle or a Great Clash
The problem is that if you are expecting great wins in this Great War slot, it won’t deliver.
All the mechanics are there, but the paytable doesn’t pay very much, even on a 4 or 5 of a kind win.

During the Great Wars, no one is the winner, especially you as you struggle to get wins large enough to keep you going through the battles.

But that's all theoretical because we certainly didn't see those wins. But then again, this Great Wars game is all about little quick wins - skirmishes rather than any great war this game promises. The Game of Thrones slot, this is not.
