We were prepared to dislike this Heist slot the moment we started playing. And yet, this little Ocean’s 11 remake surprised us and kept us playing well into the night.
Why did we go in with such a bad feeling for this old Betsoft slot game now released on mobile? Well, for one, the return to player rate on this slot is low at 93.8%.
Compare that to the 97% of their more recent mobile slot releases such as True Illusions and After Night Falls slots and we quickly made our minds up that this mobile slot machine was not worth our time.
But, we kept playing. We played for about 2 hours. And we have to admit that we were wrong. There is a pay day at the end of this robbery, though it won’t let you retire young.
As always you’ll have to read our bonus features section below to get the lowdown of all the special features. Otherwise this Heist mobile slot review will be 10 pages long.
This game is all about entertainment. It plays like one of those slot machines where you have to hit the feature to get a big payout and that’s because it’s true. But the features all come so often and with such regularity it doesn’t feel like you are playing lots of no win spins.
The expanded wild was the one that surprised us most. It doesn’t come as often as the rest, but with a 2x multiplier and a good shot at a 5 of a kind, we got our biggest win of the game at 50x our bet. The click me feature where you can get free spins are rare and unpredictable. Once we were happy with 26x our bet, the next time we walked away with only twice our bet.
But it was the safe cracking bonus which held our attention the most, with a strange feeling of being in an actual bank job as you decide when you need to leave the vault to avoid detection. Leave too early and you don’t have much cash, leave too late and you’re caught leaving you with nothing.
This game is not going to make you a slotionaire. There are no mega jackpots, there is no grand unveiling where you could win your mortgage back. But you know what? We just kept on playing. We promised ourselves we would stop at the next feature, and suddenly we would get 30 free spins when we always before only got 5.
We told ourselves after 5 bad vault heists that no more! This slot is done for! And we suddenly got the biggest pay off in the vault we’d seen. It felt like our bank roll kept yo-yo-ing back and forth between ‘that’s it, last ten spins’ to ‘whoo hoo! we’re back baby!’ more times than should be normal.
Heist slot on mobile is here for entertainment only. Our advice? If you find yourself 20% up from your starting budget consider yourself lucky and move on. Otherwise feel free to play this slot for the hours and hours on end as it keeps giving you just enough to keep you wanting more.
Otherwise there’s always the Reel Heist slot from Red Tiger which offers up some wandering wilds and instant cash wins.

Drill Scatters: These do not trigger free spins, but can be very helpful in the base game to keep your budget topped up. 3 scatter will give you 5x your bet, 4 scatters 10 times and 5 scatters 25 times your bet.
Glass Cutter Feature: 3 or more glass cutters anywhere on the reels will trigger a click me feature where you'll get anything from 5 to 30 free spins (in our experience). You can also be taken to the heist feature or get instant credits. Mostly though, you get free spins.
Expanded Wild Reel: If the C4 symbol shows up on the middle of reel 3, this will trigger an explosion and the whole reel will turn wild. It's the only wild in the game, and doesn't show up that often, but when it does it comes with a 2x multiplier which has given us some of our biggest wins in this game. Still, don't expect much more than about 50x your bet if you are lucky.
Bank Heist Second Screen Bonus: 3 or more bank vault symbols on an active payline triggers the bank heist bonus. Here you'll be taken to a new screen where you'll pick how you'll break into the vault: will you drill, hack it or use C4? Once in the fault you'll have a limited time to take as much cash as you can before you get the warning that the police are going to show up at any moment.
We found that regardless of which method of breaking into the vault that you pick, how much you get is random. Sometimes we've walked away with about 30 to 40 times our bet, other times, barely 2x our bet. Thank-fully we got this feature frequently enough that you don't feel too cheated if it's not a big bank payoff.
Just make sure you don't get too greedy and press the 'leave button' soon after you are alerted that the cops are coming. Otherwise you'll walk away with nothing and you'll have no one to blame but yourself.
This is not the Heist of a lifetime. At best the win's you'll find here will simply keep you topped up and playing, jumping from pauper to drinking champagne from one bonus game to the next.
Yet, like the old retired crook who has walked away from a life of crime, you may just find yourself be dragged back for one last job in the hope that this time you may just walk away with more than a little on top.
