Such a pretty ladybug deserves far prettier graphics. IGT have once again not done justice to an online video slot that could have been great and this Lil’ Lady slot is, at best, a fairly ok mobile slot.
Continuing on the tradition of turning their hugely popular Vegas casinos slots to the online and then mobile world, IGT have released Lil’ Lady, a buggarific game.
The small but still hugely entertaining romance of two ladybugs as they woe and flirt across your screen, through symbols of flowers, mushrooms and brightly coloured high suit cards, should, by definition work great on mobile. It’s about bugs. Tiny should work.
And tiny… almost works. On your iPhone screens you’ll notice the blurry images and squashed game less than on iPad. Probably as Lil’ Lady mobile slot was created with the smartphone screens in mind, far more than the larger tablets. Even the sounds are far more classic Vegas, than exciting online slots (although the jazzy clarinets are good fun during the free spins rounds).
So we can safely say that this IGT mobile slot is no Treasures of Troy slot or Crown of Egypt. In fact, with a return to player rate of 92.50% to 94.98%, this video slot is closer in play and feel to Grand Monarch or Wolf Run. Both great online slots turned average mobile ones.
In fact, Lil’ Lady is so similar to those two games, you could almost call them carbon copies. And by almost, we pretty much mean, identical. Not to say that this is a bad thing, Wolf Run is hugely popular with slots players world wide specifically because of its features. And by features, we really mean the Stacked Wilds, with lady bug wings that extend on every win, revealing hugely satisfying wins.
This is a slot game where you’ll win more on the base game than in the free spins (which is elusive and not particularly hard hitting). Yet for this reason Lil’ Lady slot on mobile is actually good fun if you can look past the graphics. The wins, when they come with those stacked wilds, more than make up for the lack of graphical excitement. It’s not huge wins, but it’s enough to keep you on your toes.

Stacked Wilds: The ladybug wings are wild and substitutes for all symbols except the bonus symbol. These usually come stacked, filling 1/2/3 sometimes even 4 reels for REALLY big wins. You can't fault a feature that on averages gives you back at least 5 times your bet, and on big wins as much as 50x your bet. Not bad for a frequent base game feature.
Free Spins: Get 3 bonus symbols on reels 2, 3 and 4 and you'll not only get x2 your total bet, but also 5 free spins. These don't sound like much, and you'll be right. You don't get half as much during this feature as you generally do during the base game, but sometimes you get lucky.
Could this mobile slot look nicer? Yes, certainly. But ultimately, for a few quick profitable spins on your mobile phone, you could do a lot worse.
Because what Lil' Lady mobile slot is good at is giving you decent win at any point during the base game with a great stacked wilds feature that does more than just tease you. This romance is full throttle and you don't have to chase the free spins to get them.
You'll need a little patience, and there is no doubting that the bigger better could come out of this better off, but Lil' Lady has plenty of charm to recommend it.
