This Polterheist mobile slot is surprisingly fun as you get haunting good wins in a Wild West game that is dangerous but fun.
Polterheist is a 100 payline slot with 5 reels and 4 rows of western and ghostly symbols. You’ll find wild symbols, a haunted wild feature where you get extra wilds added to the screen, as well as stacks of Ghost symbols and free spins with multipliers.
Set in the middle of the night in the old West, the characters in this 100 payline NextGen slot machine are not your typical sheriff and banditos.
Instead, you are invited to meet Goldie Goldrush, the leader, Pinkie Parsons the fashionista sharpshooter, Eli Emerald, the best safe cracker west of the Mississippi, Oscar L’Orange, the comedian and world champion taco eater and Old Blue, the fastest shot in the west!
They are here to rob you blind and they are wanted dead or deader.
We like it when mobile slot games give you value for money and this slot title certainly does that, especially when you consider that there’s a fair amount of bonus features helping you create multiple wins across multiple bet lines.
For example, everyone once in a while, one of the ghosts will appear on screen, and turn all high paying ghost symbols into that one symbol for the next spin, as well as appear stacked.
You also randomly get 4 or 5 extra wild symbols added to the screen just because these ghosts are looking for a good time. But without those two features, the wins in the base game are pretty minimal, leaving you feeling restless for more.
Do they know how to do anything other than great high volatility slots? Well yeah, but our favourite from NextGen, from the old 300 Shields slot to the newer Xing Guardian game, tend to be on the higher end of the volatility scale.
So what’s wrong with Polterheist that it only gets a 3 star review? Well, maybe it’s the high number of paylines but getting 5,000 times your bet never feels within reach.
Mostly it’s because the free spins with 5x multipliers rarely hit on a win, and feels like you are trying to hit a jackpot. At which point, we’d rather play a jackpot slot with bigger payout potential.
Yet, we found this little undead slot machine charming and the slot features fun enough that we would happily come back and play next Halloween.

We had fun playing this Polterheist slot on mobile, but it's not a casino game that will captivate you for long.
Whilst the graphics are pretty, and there are a few good features and some great free spins rounds, after a while, these 100 paylines get a little frustrating if those ghosts don't line up in enough stacks.
If you like the mix of old western and ghostly fun, we'd also recommend you check out our Golden Colts slot review by Play'n GO which has a more grown-up feel but isn't as light and fun.
