The So Much Candy mobile slot might appear like a sweet treat, but too much of a good thing isn’t always better.
Part of the “So Much More” series of Microgaming slots, we’d have to admit that we preferred this theme over So Much Sushi, though our favourite is still So Many Monsters.
All three are identical to play, with the same amounts to win, so if you really love the idea of getting 25 symbol wins on a single payline, you’ve got 3 to choose from.
Some would call this a lazy way of creating slot machines, but we won’t judge as long as the game-play is good.
The game-play isn’t awesome. It’s not bad. It’s just not awesome. Which make the generic candy theme all the more uninteresting, as you realise that you’ve only got boiled sweets and grating annoying music to keep you company.
This is no mFortune Sweet King, is what we are saying.
On the other hand, if you put some music nice and loud, the So Much Candy slot does has a secret weapon to keep you occupied. Namely the fact that any of the top 5 highest paying symbols will ‘split’ into anything from 1 to 5 symbols in one.
So if you get 3 heart candies in a row, one symbol might stay as one, the next symbol split into 3, and the third symbol split into 5 – giving you a 9 symbol win.
The downside to this is that a 3 symbol win can be more profitable than a 5 symbol win, if you get bigger splits, so it’s hard to predict an exciting win. Wilds are almost your nemesis, as they only count as 1 symbol.
The bright side is that you are not reliant on the free spins in order to win big, multiple 25 symbols wins.
The free spins bonus isn’t necessary to win big in this So Much Candy video slot, but it certainly helps.
Namely because you’ll only get 1 high paying symbol on the reel; and you get to choose that symbol. The higher the value, the less free spins you get, though we found some interesting results by aiming up the higher value end of the scale.
The wins are marginal at best here (needed over 10 symbols for anything decent), so you might as well aim high with only 8 or 10 free spins.
If candy aren’t you’re thing, but like the idea of split symbols, we’d also recommend the Doubles slot by Yggdrasil.

Wilds: The So Much Candy slot logo is the wild symbol and replaces all other symbols except scatters.
Scatters and Free Spins: The gumball machine is the scatter symbol and you'll need 3 or more to trigger the free spins.
You will then get a choice of free spins where one of the top 5 high paying symbols will replace all other high paying symbols on the reels (so not the Ace to 10 symbols).
We like to tempt fate and go for 8 to 10 free spins in order to bring up the excitement levels, but somewhere around the middle is usually safe.
The So Much Candy mobile slot game isn't bad, we simply would have preferred a slightly more imaginative theme, and the chance to win a little bit more than penny sweets.
Of the So Much More series, So Many Monsters wins in our opinion, but if you want something truly fanciful, you've simply got to try the Machine Gun Unicorn slot.
