Welcome back to the 80s where the neon is bright, the sync of the sound is loud, and the luxury of the reels promise diamonds but can The Equalizer slot deliver?
There’s something fun about going a little retro and heading to the 1980s, especially as the theme of The Equalizer mobile slot mixes luxury and bright neon to such a good effect.
And what’s possible here is that you can win 10,000 times your bet.
At any point, the reels may expand by either two rows or two reels, or both at the same time.
Better yet, the wild symbol can sometimes expand to cover part or the whole reel, give you so many fantastic opportunities to hit multiple of those 60 paylines.
The problem is those words. May. Can. Yes, they can. Yes, they may… but not often, or not with any real big prizes. Or it doesn’t feel like it.
And that’s the problem, The Equalizer is so volatile, but hits so frequently with little wins, it’s horribly frustrating. It’s like it doesn’t quite know what it wants to be.
Mostly because you can start the free spins with sticky expanded wilds, randomly the speaker may spout out even more wilds, and the reels expand more often.
But again, it’s all so random, it’s hard to feel excited when you hit The Equalizer bonus games because you don’t know what you are going to get.
Personally, we’d prefer playing on the fairly average Reel King Mega slot also by Red Tiger Gaming, which at least feels like the game is a little more in your control and teases you a lot less.

Expanding Slot: At any point, the slot may randomly expand with up to 2 extra reels and 2 extra rows of symbols.
Wins are always calculated based on the total number of paylines in the game (60) even when the slot is not expanded.
Expanding Wilds: The 'W' is the wild symbol and can replace any other symbol to create a win. It can also randomly expand by one up to 6 symbols high.
Scatters and Free Spins: The speakers are the free spins scatter symbols and you need 3 to trigger 10 bonus spins. If any wild has expanded during the trigger, it will remain there for the duration of the bonus spins.
An extra scatters symbol will award one extra free spin.
Sound Wave: The speakers by the side of the screen may randomly send a sound wave across the slot, adding random wilds on the screen, which may expand.
Red Tiger Games love breaking convention, and when it goes right, you get a machine like the Laser Fruit slot where you get 60,466,176 ways to win.
Then you have The Equalizer slot game which tries to do the same but doesn't quite break the ceiling. Instead, it feels confusing. You can bet 0.10 a spin, but you are always betting all 60 paylines, even when this game is not extended.
Watching those reels grow is exciting, especially as you get so many more symbols and that retro looks that make all the symbols pop.
But once that pop goes, The Equalizer online slot starts to fizzle, especially as that 10,000 times your bet win feels far away.
