The gods Horus and Anubis welcome you to the Valley of The Gods slot, where anything is possible, including 3,125 ways to win.
This Yggdrasil slot for mobile and tablets isn’t quite what we expect from this game provider.
Nope. What you get here is a traditional Egyptian themed slot machine with 4 high paying Egyptian gods, and 6 low paying hieroglyphs.
We were puzzled by the lack of imagination from the usually innovative provider… that is, until we started playing.
In a way, it’s good that they’ve kept the graphics and sounds traditional. It makes you a little careful when you start spinning, unsure of what to expect.
What you get is a 45 ways to win slot game that gives you free re-spins after re-spins.
Why is that? Because every win causes a free re-spin of the reels, and slowly increases the number of symbols on the reels, all the way to 3,125 ways to win, giving you a huge 5×5 reel game.
The trick is to get enough consecutive wins in a row to open up the board.
Here you don’t exactly get free bonus spins, but a game of high tension where every win can either give you extra free spins or bigger multipliers.
We’ve not once reached these Valley of the Gods slot bonus game and not felt butterflies in the pit of our stomach.
And considering how much they can pay, it’s surprising how often you get this bonus feature.
We rated this Yggdrasil Valley of the Gods video slot pretty high, but at the same time, we totally get why some of you are going to hate this slot machine.
It can be frustrating, watching those re-spins almost get to the big wins, but not quite paying out enough to help you stay on top.
Fans of lighter fares like Leprechaun Goes Egypt by Play’n GO should move on.
But for us, that’s the appeal: edge of your seat frustration which, if you can be patient, can send you straight to Egyptian slot heaven

From 45 to 3,125 Ways to Win: You'll notice that on this 5x5 reels, there are 12 cases hidden by scarabs.
On each winning spin, for every symbol that you get a win, the same amount of scarabs will disappear.
So get a 5 symbol win, and 5 of the 12 scarabs will disappear, opening the reels and more ways to win.
Get enough wins in a row and you'll open up the board to 3,125 ways to win, and you'll activate the special win multiplier bonus game.
If you don't get a win on the free re-spins, the board will close up again with the 12 scarabs and you'll spin for money again.
Win Multipliers and Extra Lives: Once you've opened up the board to 3,125 ways to win, things get a little crazy in this Valley of the Gods casino game.
You'll start with a 2x multiplier and 1 life.
For every win you get, you'll either be given red or blue scarabs. For every 5 blue scarabs you'll increase the multiplier by one. For every 5 red scarabs, you'll increase your life by one.
These are basically unlimited free spins for as long as you keep winning. However, much like in the Dr Jekyll Goes Wild slot, 'unlimited' here really means 5 to 10 free spins.
A losing spin will make you lose a life, so it's worth stocking up on those red scarabs.
How big a multiplier can you get? Generally you are lucky to get around 4x to 5x multiplier - though we've heard along the grapevine that up to 10x is possible. Yggdrasil haven't revealed the top amount, but even with a 5x multiplier, the wins here can be impressive.
Once you run out of lives, the board closes up again to 45 ways to win.
The Valley of The Gods mobile slot has to be one of the more traditional Yggdrasil games we've seen in a while.
Even Rainbow Ryan took a funny twist to the Leprechaun theme.
But the reason for this is simple: they are not trying to dazzle you with graphics, instead relying on hidden treasure to bring in the crowd.
