That said, the balance of this slot machine is even enough that you can just as often walk away with a lot less.

Should I keep playing to collect the swarm mode?

We played for well over 2 hours and managed to trigger the swarm mode… once. Granted, once you’ve triggered it once, it’s easier to trigger it again, but it still takes hundreds and hundreds of spins.

So no. The answer is no. Don’t wait for the Swarm. It’s cool when it happens because you get 10 free spins with so many sticky wilds, but that can happen in the normal bonus games anyway.

In-game bonus features

Wild: The wild honey is the normal wild symbol, and it substitutes for all others in order to create a win.

Scatters: 3 Hive symbols anywhere on the screen will trigger 7 free spins (more on those below).

Pick-Me-Feature: A treasure chest on any reel will trigger a mini-game where you pick from five hidden prizes.

During the base game, these can hide instant cash prizes, trigger the free spin, trigger the Swarm boost, and trigger the swarm mode.

During the free games, these include 1, 2, or 5 extra free spins, sticky symbols all move to the left, and one sticky wild symbol expands vertically to fill the reels or instant cash prizes.

Free Games Feature: Trigger by the scatters or the pick-me feature, you get to play free spin where all the wild symbols are now sticky bees.

These stay on screen until the end of the free game rounds.

Collect Bees and Trigger the Swarm Mode: During the base game, every time a bee lands on the reels, it will be collected into the hive above the reels.

When you get to the maximum level 5 (literally hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of spins), the hive may explode and trigger the swarm mode.

It doesn't do it automatically; you have to keep playing and hope it explodes soon. When it does, you get 10 free spins with lots of sticky wilds on screen.

You then reset the hive meter to level 2, and start again. The next time you trigger the swarm, it resets to level 3, and finally to level 4.

Once you reach level 4 resets, it becomes easier to trigger the swarm mode, and you get this feature more often, a nice reward for what is probably days or weeks of gameplay.

Wild Swarm Review Conclusion

We had to play this Wild Swarm slot on our iPad for longer than most of our other slot reviews as we wanted to try and get the swarm feature by collecting bees... and there's a sentence we didn't think we'd say today.

So it did give us a chance to appreciate the highs and lows of this medium variance machine that manages to give you big wins without any multipliers.

Mostly that thanks to the two bonus features, both of which can surprise you in delightfully sweet ways.

But even then, a lot of the big game wins just come from good 5-of-a-kind wins, and that's why we love it. You can still enjoy this Bee slot if you don't get one of the bonus features.

Add a high RTP of 97.03% and a wide betting range, and this has got to be our first 5-star review of Push Gaming slots.

Even better than their launch game of Peter and the Lost Boys, so that's saying something.
