It's official. Vera & John casino will be launching all WMS slots, both mobile and online, in the next few weeks. We can't be the only ones doing a happy dance?
Williams Interactive games have a big following, especially where we live here in the United Kingdom. Mostly because they are all over the casino floors all over the country.
In fact, our American cousins will also know the name, as they are one of the biggest slot machine providers in Vegas, not to mention the rest of the country.
Unfortunately for them, only us Europeans get to enjoy their online and mobile slots offering. And even better, it’s at one of our top choice casinos Vera&John.
So if you’ve never heard of WMS slots, then you are in for a treat. They have 69 online games which are beautiful to play. But we’ll be talking about the 17 mobile phone slots that will grace the far smaller, but still entertaining, screen.
Vera&John are in the process of slowly adding the full online slots and mobile collection. It won’t be overnight and it will take a few weeks.
They’ve never been one to flood players with tons of games at once.
As far as they are concerned, it’s better to release two or three at a time, slowly, so you get a chance to try them out and they don’t get lost with the rest.
Because VJ has a lot of games to begin with.
The UK casino currently doesn’t have NetEnt (though it will be added soon), but generally everyone, from the Australians to the Canadian and the Swedes in between, get to already enjoy 7 software.
WMS mobile slots will make 8.
So you can imagine that they don’t want you to lose out on trying each and everyone.
We mentioned that was their thing in the opening paragraph right? In fact, if we have to compare their slots games (in style anyway if not always in gameplay) it would be to the likes of the software IGT.
Bally Technologies, Betsoft, IGT, Microgaming, Net Entertainment, NextGen and Play’n Go… NOW: Williams.
They have that “land-based look”. Where everything is very realistically drawn, usually with hundred of paylines, rather than fun and quirky.
What we can’t do is say a blanket statement of what their mobile slots are like. Much like IGT, Williams Interactive have a whole range of different type of games. And much like their main competitor, they love highly volatile slots.
Meaning huge wins, for those patient enough to play these high risk machines.
And what they’ve done is given us the very best of their online selection. 17 tablet slots may not sound like a lot, but when you consider that Bally have only got 10 and IGT only a little more at 26, it’s a very good start.
Did you notice how we said ‘tablet’ there? Yeah, we suspect most of their games would be far more suited to the larger screens. We’ll get to that in a moment.
For now, let’s highlight the video slots you should be excited about.
There are so many more we could mention. Spartacus is one we are excited to play, but then so is Amazon Queen and Crystal Forest.
You can bet your Vegas budget that when they are out, we’ll be the first to put up all the mobile slots reviews for you.
Now we should explain our ‘Tablet’ comment above. Basically, if you’ve been a good girl or boy and read every word of this article, rather than glance down (you wouldn’t do that to us, would you?), then you’ll notice that most of the slots we mentioned above have unconventional reel systems.
It’s not your basic 5×3 reels. It’s different amount of reels with different amount of symbols, from 2 to 6 to increasing and decreasing according to whatever mood WMS happens to be.
That means that, frankly, some of the slots will just looked squashed on the smaller iPhone or Android phone screens. Like teeny weeny. Which will not make the experience all that amazing.
We are not saying all, but some WMS slot machines will need to have real thought put in, as to how there 6 reel games will play, otherwise you’ll end up with the Wolf Rising slot syndrome: great game but most people walk away from it as soon as they open it.
At the end of the day, Williams Interactive slot machine are favourites with many because they bring that real casino feel to your screen. No matter what size it is.
So even if all that Vera & John casino have bought are 17 new iPad slots, (which we are not saying that’s what it is, just our fear), then that’s 17 great games you can play on tablets.
We can’t wait to get testing and adding a whole new range of slots for mobile in our ever growing list. It’s a tough life, that of a casino slot reviewer.
Time for you to do the same and get testing as the add new games each and everyday.Start Playing at Vera & John »
