To be honest, it’s hard to tell at this stage. Will it make bonus features harder to hit, but winning easier? Maybe.

What we can say for sure, is that you’ll have 8 paylines, and it allows the slot to have a wide betting range of 0.10 to 100 a spin.

More importantly, it makes things different.

We haven’t seen a 3×3 mobile slot in ages, and most of the good ones (ie. Chinese Kitchen) are Playtech. Nothing wrong with the software as such, but good Playtech casinos? Not the easiest to find, and when you do, all you can play is Playtech, and nothing else.

Specifically you are hunting down an old tale, a myth spoken in hushed whispers amongst old sailors, on the long voyage home.

It’s a tale of a sea creature, so large, so ferocious, that it has consumed the tallest proudest ships of the known world. Ships filled with hordes of treasures.

That treasure is your goal. The Kraken, your target.

There are two main bonus features

As you can see from the image above, during your game, a looming shadow will appear in the background, and long tentacles will reach within the game and create wilds on the reels.

These are the only wilds on screen. On one hand, if they show up too often, unless the animations are particularly well done, it could get annoying.

On the other, if they don’t, and you never get wilds, it could be as frustrating. Time will tell.

Then you have the free spins, where you need 5 scattered diving helmets to get 9 free spins. Yeap, 5. We can only assume they shows up often, or the payoff for waiting is really, really, good.

The free spins reels do have two extra interesting symbols – an extra wild symbol, the eye of the kraken, and a treasure chest, giving you instant cash as you spin.

What? You don’t see any actual beast?!

We said there were two main features. We didn’t say they were the only ones.

The third feature is a click me game, where you can win up to 500 times your bet. That got your attention right?

The reason we didn’t mention it above, is that it will probably takes a while to trigger. Best case scenario, about 30/50 spins, worse case, maybe 100, maybe more?

Because you need to collect 50 torpedo symbols, as you spin, to get the click me bonus.

It’s not as much as some out there, but we suspect you will need to be happy to play a game where, for company, you mostly just have random wilds and free spins.

Worth getting excited about?

Play’n GO have done something very clever with the Eye of the Kraken slot machine.

Sure, at first glance it doesn’t appear to have the HUGE wins that you’d find in Royal Masquerade or the Spin Party slot, (for example).

But that’s because this undersea adventure seems to be a very different beast. Here’s why:
