New April Slots: Will Dream Date And Diamond Empire Win?

How many carats in this Diamond Empire Slot?

A little while back, Microgaming brought a little-known game maker known as Triple Edge Studios.

And whilst all their games fall under the ‘Microgaming’ umbrella, they have their own very distinctive taste.

To be honest, we’ve been more than impressed with their creation, the last of which, the Playboy Gold slot, was a pleasure to play.

However, looking at this, it looks like this has more in common with their earlier creation, the equally wonderful 108 Heroes Multipliers classic game.

3 reels, 15 paylines, and plenty of multipliers

As you can see, this isn’t a traditional classic slot; for one it has 15 payline, which is 10 more than most.

For two it has stacked Wild Multipliers which pay 2x the win and a promise of up to 888x your bet in the wheel of fortune bonus.

That’s an impressive amount for a top win for a classic slot machine.

What it isn’t is particularly striking, at least not visually – the graphics are fairly generic diamonds with a slight art deco style.

Which is later than the Dream Date mobile game below, but we wanted to feature it first.

Because, honestly, with an RTP of 96.04% and as high variance game, this Diamond Empire slot could look like the back end of a Couch Potato slot, and we’d probably still give it a couple of spins when it comes out.

Will you find romance in the Dream Date slot?

The Dream Date online slot looks like the more exciting of the two April Microgaming slots, that’s true enough.

Mostly that’s because this one looks the most like an actual Microgaming game, it has similar graphics to Riviera Riches on mobile and even steals a lot of design ideas from the often forgotten, but great Secret Romance slot.

And this game studio provider has been making slot machines since the dawn of the internet, so sure, they know what they are doing.

But we are not convinced that these flawless looking people will have enough pull to make your dreams come true.

To be honest, other than the pick and mix theme, there’s not much more to this Dream Date game.

You get Hot zones if your leading lady and gent show up next to each other, triggering cash wins, and/or free spins bonus games.

These look ok, with an expanding wild on reel 3 that has a 2x multiplier on the win, and potentially winning as much as 1,800 times your bet.

A decent sum and one that would certainly pay for your next tinder date. Maybe even two.

Which of the two will be worth playing?

Ultimately, we know that not everyone loves classic slots.

So if we were going to put money on which will get the most people playing this April, we suspect it will be Dream Date.
